The Philipsburg Chamber of Commerce is an independent, community-minded organization dedicated to advancing the business and civic interests of our historic and growing mountain town in southwest Montana. With a year-round population of less than 1,000 residents, Philipsburg has a unique dynamic that includes long-time locals, entrepreneurs, adventure-seekers, and multi-generational ranching families who call this “Last Best Place” home. Established in 1946, the Chamber now includes more than 80 active members, giving business owners a place to network, exchange ideas, participate in service projects throughout the year. Opening Windows & Doors to the World
When the Library opened in the 1940's, Philipsburg had a place to borrow books. The Library no longer offers just books-on-the-shelf. You can download free books and audiobooks from your easy chair. The Library is a place to meet friends, do homework, use a computer free of charge or printer, access free Wi-Fi, process documents (scan, fax, copy & print for 25¢ a page), print 3D projects, or check out a Kindle or E-Reader free of charge. Board games, children's toys and art supplies delight the kids. It's a great meeting venue for the community. Plus, Poetry Boxes on Broadway overflow with local favorites. Caring for the Land & Serving People
The Philipsburg USFS Pintler Ranger District of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest is a great place to learn more about recreational opportunities on the nearby public lands. This district is in the northwest portion of the forest and surrounds the town of Philipsburg. With over 20 campgrounds and picnic areas with fishing access there's plenty to do in this area! In summer and fall, the adventure is endless with areas offering mountain biking, camping, fishing, day hiking, horse riding, hunting, wildlife viewing, picnicing, and boating & water activites.
